Story to come
The Scottish Fish Of The Year is an annual challenge to find the Fish Of The Year taken in Scottish waters. Unlike conventional competitions, the FOTY Challenge is as much about the story around and behind the catch as it is about the size of the fish itself. Entry costs £5 and prizes will go to the best boat, shore and junior entries.
ScottishFOTY is home to the Scottish Fish Of The Year Challenge for sea anglers which will run from the 1st April 2009 to 23:59 on the 31st March 2010.
Joining in costs £5, but you can make as many entries as you like for that.
Submit your entry by email to here , see below for conditions.
This isn't a conventional competition, it's not just about the biggest fish, it's about the story and circumstances around the fish's capture.
At the end of the Challenge, a short list of ten entries will be determined by an independent panel; all registered anglers will then be able to vote for their winners - ones with the most votes win.
Winners of the Boat and Shore Categories will each receive a trophy and 30% of all nett proceedings.
The prize for juniors will be a trophy and some fishing goodies.
40% of all nett proceedings will go to the - Scottish Sea Angling Conservation Network (SSACN)
All the trophies were kindly donated by Robin at OnlineTrophies
